Mental Health & Well-Being
Supporting emotional health, building resilience, and connecting to care and resources.

The Importance of Mental Health
Mental and physical health are deeply connected – and both deserve equal care and attention. Just as we prioritize exercise, nutrition, and routine checkups, supporting our mental health is essential to overall well-being.
Taking care of your mental health, or supporting someone else, starts with awareness, compassion, and access to the right resources.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) recommends ALGEE, a simple action plan for helping someone in a mental health crisis:
- Assess for risk of harm or suicide
- Listen nonjudgmentally
- Give reassurance and information
- Encourage appropriate professional help
- Encourage self-help and support strategies
